Overview
GinekioSport exists for one subject: women’s football. It needs the pace of a modern news site without losing the feel of a specialist publication. The work centred on giving that subject a proper digital home, where stories arrive quickly and photography carries as much weight as the copy.
Challenge
Coverage of women’s football often sits inside broader sports sites, where it is easy to miss and hard to follow in depth. GinekioSport needed a place where timely news, longer features and visual stories sit together with enough structure that readers can find what matters and keep coming back.
Approach
We shaped the site around how people actually read sport on a phone: short paths into the latest coverage, space for strong images, and a layout that still works when the newsroom is publishing every day. Photography leads where it should; categories and related stories stay easy to scan so discovery does not depend on hunting through archives.
Focus areas
- specialist positioning for women’s football;
- mobile-first news reading;
- clear routes into articles and categories;
- photography-led storytelling;
- a repeatable editorial structure;
- a consistent visual identity.
Outcome
GinekioSport now reads as a dedicated media environment for women’s football, not a general sports site with a secondary section.
